Portal Gate on the Blockchain
As a privacy-centric DeFi solution, Portal Gate obfuscates the on-chain link between wallets. To understand how this is achieved, it is essential to understand what your transaction looks like on the public blockchain.
Below is an example of a relayer-assisted withdrawal through Portal Gate where the user has withdrawn $100,000 kycUSDC.
- From the top, the Relayer directs the withdrawal through the pgRouter contract.
- The pgRouter transfers to the withdrawal wallet a portion of ETH (in this case, ~0.0108 ETH) through the 100k USDC instance pool.
- Moving onto the ERC-20 tokens, the pool will send the required withdrawal amount, adjusted for fees, to the withdrawal address (in this case, ~99,906.4754 kycUSDC).
- It will also send a service fee, in kycUSDC, to the relayer address to compensate them for their service in maintaining anonymity (in this case, ~93.5246 kycUSDC).
As observed above, Portal Gate’s user-friendly process has been able to facilitate a transaction that remains completely anonymous. The relayer allows the gas on the new withdrawal wallet to remain anonymous.
